Silos and poets

Finally headed for home after a fabulous short break in the Southern Flinders.  Viewed the painted silo in Wirrabara... so pleased we actually saw a rare red capped robin in the wild Next, on through Laura with its statues of pioneers and the poet CJ Dennis. (Also home of Golden North icecream A final stop at the Little Red Grape Bakery in Sevenhill just outside Clare for coffee and cake.... a fabulous weeks holida y with a wealth of memories (and photos)  So glad we live in such a beautiful state

Wayhey! I did it.....

Managed a couple of short but challenging walks at Alligator Gorge in Mount Remarkable National Park. Smashed my 1 year UniSA OA goal, completing it in 9 months Saw emus and euros (the furry marsupial) and enjoyed a picnic lunch then on to Melrose for a shorter walk to the monument and #coffeeoclock

Quorn circular drive

Did the lovely Northern circular drive from Wilmington via Quorn, Richi Pichi pass, Port Augusta wind and solar farm, Horrocks pass and monument and a small detour up a dirt road to Hancock's Lookout with spectacular views the Spencer Gulf Quorn Port Augusta to Horrocks pass  Hancock's Lookout The car needs a good clean now Got our National Parks pass for tomorrow. Hoping to see Alligator Gorge and walk a few kms!

Flinders here we come

Headed out to the Southern Flinders via Port Wakefield (coffee) and St Germein (lunch) Clive admiring the Pink Lake Bumbunga and monster at Lochiel  On to our camp-site at Wilmington via the Gorge and Melrose. Beautiful sunset but noisy with the cockatoos coming home to roost. Visited by possums after dark and had fun feeding them .... so cute and tame
