Winter Waterfall

Image
Finally made it up to Waterfall Gully for a walk after heavy overnight rain. The falls were spectacular even with the steep climb but we made it. Needed my stick for some of the trail but the walkways have improved since the gravel and mud of the past Ballaboosta looked interesting but we were happy with #coffeeoclock and a cake at Base Camp in Burnside on the otherwise of the road

Must get out more

It' s all too easy to curl up under the nice warm covers and stay in bed for half the morning. Trying to improve my 'sleep hygiene' and also get moving again. Winter is finally drawing to a close so I'm planning on stepping things up to try to snap out of my SAD doldrums After good blood results (and an annoying weight gain) I'm trying to turn my mood around. Had a couple of 100% daily walks and slightly better sleep although still taking ages to get off and waking in for at least an hour around 3.00am! This week I've managed a walk round Oaklands wetlands,  Waterfall Gully, Hallet Cove and Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens  Several walks have been over my current daily step total. Started the year around 3000, now up to nearly 4000. Hope to gradually increase this as the weather improves

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Its been a full on week with singing rehearsals, the occasional #coffeeoclock and the Matildas  Can't believe how football became priority viewing for the whole country with viewing records smashed. Shame we lost but Sam Kerr's goal was a cracker Had a brilliant night out at the Festival Theatre to see Mary Poppins. A great show for all the family with spectacular scenery and special effects. The cast were excellent.

Cooking up a storm

When life gives you oranges - make marmalade! Then  time for some bulk cooking.... cottage pies, tuna bake, fruit cake, chicken curry and sausage rolls. Next, try out a new recipe for Beef Pho

Those pesky scales

I have definitely been obsessing about the numbers and almost ignoring all the NSVs that I've gained over the years. I've put the scales away until next week's weigh day to try to help me focus on my well-being rather than my weight
