Missed my stop

Image
Had my last physio session (as part of my UniSA OA Trial) with Jamie today.  Was so busy reading on the way home, I missed my tram stop so carried on to Glenelg for an extra #mydailywalk and #coffeeoclock before returning to my car on Marion Road.

Open Gardens SA... mosaics

Image
Visited a quirky but very creative mosaic garden in the west of the city at Kensington. So many great ideas and a calm, shady oasis in a busy part of town. I parked a few streets away so had a decent walk too. The Devonshire Cream Tea was very welcome and a bargain at $5! So hard to narrow it down to the best 10-12 pictures as I end up taking dozens when I visit somewhere new..... failed again!

Coffee at Christies

Image
Whatever time of year, Christies Beach is always worth a visit. One of my favourite shortish walks .... 20-30 minutes depending how far round Whitton Point I go with the promise of a nice coffee (or gelato) at Flava when I've had enough.  Beautiful big skies, sea views and even the occasional whale at certain times of the year

10,000 steps

Image
I can't believe that 3 times in a week (while on holiday in Robe) I managed to walk 10,000 steps . The walking program I'm doing with UniSA has certainly helped to remove pain and has increased my mobility in spite of osteoarthritis in both knees.  I could only manage 10 minutes or a few 100 metres without discomfort when I first started but now I  hope to avoid any future surgery and have even planned a walking short break in the Flinders at the end of the month!

On my doorstep

I'm so lucky to have Happy Valley Reservoir on my doorstep. So many great walking trails of varying lengths to choose from while admiring the views and wildlife.

Coffee and Curiosities

Discovered Mahalia Coffee roasters tucked away on an industrial estate, cleverly disguised as an eclectic gift emporium.... and another friendly cat (Hugo) A great find and well worth a visit..... I could have spent a fortune there! Such fun.
