iPhone distractions

Image
Just acquired Karen’s old iPhone as its a bit more up to date than my old samsung. Managed to copy a few things over automatically but all the apps need reloading and the passwords are driving me crazy.  It’s going to be a long week Set up a few new ones so probably Clive’s stuff won’t work as he’s pinched my email address for most of his things and I’m having to use his! All a big muddle and not how I would have like to spend my birthday Luckily I had fun at an Allsorts Concert

Lofty leaves

Always a good time of year to visit Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens. A bit busier in the school holidays but bonus of Bracegirdles hot chocolate when there's a nip in the air Managed a circuit of the lake dodging the water sprinklers. The zinnia bed is amazing and many different salvias and grasses compliment the huge range of leaves from pale gold, orange, copper to burgundy. Cloudy skies next week so this may be the last visit for a while

Minkarra extension

My leg was very stiff and sore but tried out a bit of the new extension from Glenhuntley Reserve to the Phone mast.  Another 100 metres next time to reach the golf course lake Home via Peppermint Grove

Cars Galore

Had a fabulous day out at Serrafino Winery for the SA Car Rally  Some amazing vehicles and spent an hour admiring then before they set off for the parade down the High Street. Got caught up with parade but turned left as they went they other way. Part 2 was at Hamilton's winery where we enjoyed a glass or two of rose and a cheese and fruit platter with Mick and his family

Autumn Leaves

Chose the wrong day for a trip to the Hills. Hahndorf and Stirling grey, cloudy, occasional drizzle and 11° ...   started brightening up when I left. Had a short walk at Woorabinda but boardwalk is closed for repair  Our side of the hill, warm sunshine, blue skies and 19°. 21 in the City. Had to sit in my car at the top of the hill with the sun streaming in the windows to warm up. At least the fridge is full after a visit to the Fruit Market

Elvis

Elvis: A Musical Revolution  is electrifying. The energy from the cast explodes off the stage in this wonderful homage to The King, his life and his musical legacy. It is a brilliant homage to the life of The King. From his humble beginnings as a child in Tupelo, Mississippi through to his triumphant 1968 comeback special, this production is a celebration of one of the most influential artists to grace the world. Rob Mallett IS the king. Playing the iconic role of Elvis Presley would be no easy feat, but Mallett has perfectly captured the complex life that Elvis led. Vocally, the ensemble was stunning. From tight, well drilled harmonies through to brilliant solo voices — this was an exceptional ensemble. This was only topped by the way they carried out the choreography. Every big production number was packed full of energy. A standout was  Blue Suede Shoes  at the top of the second act where the ensemble’s energy exploded off the stage. Their character work was also excellent. Many of

With 300 pictures to choose from it's hard to pick my top 30 but here's a selection .... with some duplicates. Also there's a reminder that, when we arrived home,  Autumn's arrived in the Hills as the clocks went back (Gather Round weekend too)
