Great day today. Helped at sausage sizzle at Bunnings, walk and coffee at Happy Valley Reservoir, tasty dinner and spent the evening watching 'I Came By' on Netflix....scary!

This breathtaking 90 minute tour departed from the Granite Island Causeway  and 'cruised' between the mainland and the northern side of Granite Island, affording spectacular views  of both the Victor Harbor shoreline and the island. Once past the breakwater The Big Duck picked up its pace..... 25 - 30 knots even with a 2.5 - 3 metre swell! We certainly needed our waterproof 'bags' (long hooded rubberised kagool) today and a strong stomach Seal Rock  was the first stop, where Long Nosed Fur Seals and Australian Sea Lions  basked in the sun between fishing forays and swimming out to the boat for a sticky-beak! Then on past the huge granite boulders of Wright Island and the Bluff . Onkaparinga River

The City of Onkaparinga is a local government area located on the southern fringe of Adelaide, South Australia. It is named after the Onkaparinga River, whose name comes from Ngangkiparinga, a Kaurna word meaning women's river.  The Onkaparinga River begins its journey in the Mount Lofty Ranges, between Mount Torrens and Charleston and the river's estuary extends from Old Noarlunga to the river's mouth between the suburbs of Port Noarlunga and Port Noarlunga South (Southport) In the early years Onkaparinga was renowned for its quality Australian wool blankets, and over the years they dwindled into history with quilts and comforters taking over in popularity. Gather Round

Well, it's been full on Footie here with all round five matches being played in Adelaide .... including Norwood and Mount Barker.  The Swans had a larger crowd at the 'neutral' Oval than they do for their home matches at the SCG! Mount Barker welcomed the Brisbane Lions for the first major AFL game in the Adelaide Hills and did us proud. Crows opening the proceedings with a fabulous unexpected win (and the Port scraped home last night). Clive's off to a double header at the Oval today so it's going to be a long day as our Bunnings BBQ was cancelled due to double booking. Time to catch up on some other TV and also do some singing practice. It's been a great event which has really put SA on the map. The City was packed out and there's such a buzz about the place and a real holiday atmosphere. We've had many visitors from interstate and it feels like 'finals' day with a brilliant carnival vibe.
