A difficult 2 weeks

After a recent mammogram I got some worrying news from breast SA saying results were inconclusive and I needed them to be repeated, so stopped off at Urbrae House to walk round the garden, calm my nerves and smell the roses

I've been called in for scan and a biospsy in 2 days time

Fingers crossed for good outcome.... feeling a bit jittery after going through this with Karen but hopefully we've caught it early.

Was planning on a walk round the Botanic Gardens after Thursdays appointment but just left clinic and the news was not what I hoped for... I have a DCIS which will require less invasive surgery but thankfully no chemo.

Appointment with my GP tomorrow to start the referral process at Flinders Oncology. Should see the surgeon before Christmas and surgery by the end of January.  Boy, things move fast here when it comes to healthcare. Karen popped round with these to cheer me up and chat.

Had a relaxing walk round Carrick Hill

Update: Seeing my surgeon, Chloe O'Dae on Monday 19th to discuss options.

Surgery booked for 24th January. Lots of support and advice available at Flinders. McGrath Nurse and all the team were brilliant. Now to take one day at a time trusting all will be OK

Final update:  Had a bit of a headache on the way home (stayed up to watch the World Cup and had less than 3 hours sleep) Also a bit hot and sweaty... it was 34° and I was stressed and rushing

Did a RAT test and yes, its COVID!  Phoned Chanders Hill medical practice, boss doctor faxed antivirals script to pharmacy. These top meds should help

Christmas in 5 days but not much celebrating going on this year.
